Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct data entry into company systems, and review and verify the information to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. May involve adjusting basic settings or parameters in order to meet performance standards.
- Use standard office software to carry out basic formatting of letters, memoranda, and routine reports.
- Maintain files and records.
- Ensure a positive experience for internal clients by having courteous interactions with them.
- Assess compliance with established standards and protocols for routine inquiries.
- Support others by carrying out basic data management tasks.
- Follow a range of mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
- Develop and maintain excellent procedural or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience working within the financial services industry
- Minimum of high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of recent client service / customer service experience
Knowledge Of:
- Fundamental accounting concepts, practices and procedures
- Accrual based accounting practices
- Multi-state Commercial and Retail loan servicing practices
Skill in:
- Entering transactions into an automated accounting system.
- Analyzing and adjusting basic transaction and account balance discrepancies.
- Gathering and compiling information.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, electronic communication and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to:
- Identify and recommend solutions to routine loan accounting or loan servicing problems.
- Make routine decisions.
- Demonstrate efficiency and flexibility in performing detailed transactional tasks in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
- Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven, work environment.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $17.73/hour - $23.64/hour
