Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Distribution Associate uses basic knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training or experience to provide mailing services support to associates throughout the firm. Guidance is provided to perform varied work that is somewhat routine to support a function or business unit. The role may involve some contact with internal customers to exchange basic information, initiate research, and resolve problems. The associate is expected to provide excellent customer service, professionalism, and efficient support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies basic skills and procedures appropriate for the position within the assigned functional area.
- Performs standard duties and tasks, resolving questions and problems.
- Refers more complex issues to higher-level associates.
- Processes incoming mail and express packages, including verifying addresses, opening envelopes/packages, determining priority of contents, accurately sorting/handling, and delivering.
- Sorts, packages, and processes/ships branch and outgoing first-class mail neatly and accurately, as well as miscellaneous express shipments. Properly stages all outgoing items for carrier pick-up at designated times.
- Delivers and picks up bulk, special courier, and ground packages, archive, paper, and office supplies daily. Obtains signatures where required.
- Answers phone, assists customers/vendors, and responds to email inquiries with exemplary Service 1st professionalism.
- Communicates with higher-level associates to ensure clear direction, priority of workflow, and timeline for completion.
- Assists with the distribution of mass mailings to branches.
- Refers maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Applies organizational policies and procedures.
- Recommends process improvement opportunities.
- Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
- Scans in packages/shipments.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

- Providing courteous, timely service when addressing associate/customer questions and concerns.

- Lifting items, loading, pushing/pulling carts, and pallets following safety guidelines and with caution to avoid damage to walls, doors, elevators, artwork, and other company property.
- High School Diploma/GED completed and a minimum of 1 year of mailroom or shipping facility experience preferred.
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $16.88/hour - $22.50/hour
