Job Summary

The Project Manager (Transformation) is responsible for overseeing and managing transformation projects within the organization. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting the organization's strategic objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in coordinating overall program execution across Project Transformer workstreams, ancillary projects, business teams, technology partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project plans, workstream schedules, dependency maps, milestone trackers, and deliverytimelines.
  • Coordinate program governance routines, including status meetings, leadership updates, decision forums, risk reviews, and escalation management.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate program reporting materials for stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Identify, document, and monitor risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, dependencies, and action items across the program.
  • Partner with workstream leads to ensure deliverables, timelines, risks, and resource needs are clearly defined and actively managed.
  • Support intake, prioritization, requirements coordination, and planning for ancillary projects related to Project Transformer.
  • Maintain precise project documentation and artifacts required by the PMO, internal audit, business stakeholders, and governance teams.
  • Apply established project management methodologies, including change control, issue management, risk management, dependency tracking, and status reporting.
  • Provide a proactive interface between project stakeholders, business teams, technology teams, and senior management to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, decisions, and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams and facilitate project meetings to drive accountability, timely decision making, and progress against key milestones.
  • Use Smartsheet and other project management tools to manage plans, dashboards, reporting, risks, issues, and project documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex, cross functional projects within financial services, asset management, banking, brokerage, or securities industry operations. Experience should include:

 

  • Managing large, complex projects or workstreams with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and delivery team
  • Applying established project management methodologies, governance processes, and PMO standards
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, milestones, and status reports.
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and change control processes
  • Communicating regularly with business stakeholders, technology partners, senior leaders, and external
    partners where applicable.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and artifacts to support governance, audit, and delivery
    transparency.
  • Coordinating resource needs, stakeholder engagement, meeting cadence, and executive reporting.
  • Supporting business planning, delivery planning, and implementation readiness activities
  • Financial services, asset management, brokerage, advisory, or securities operations.
  • Project life cycle methodologies and standards.
  • Agile methodologies and related delivery practices.
  • Smartsheet.
  • Microsoft Project.
  • Azure DevOps or similar delivery management tools.
  • Risk management, issue tracking, change management, and requirements coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 6 to 10 years of project management experience preferred.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Experience working in financial services, asset management, banking, brokerage, or securities operations
    preferred.
  • Smartsheet experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, self directed, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast paced program environment.
  • Ability to work across large, dispersed, cross functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • High degree of ownership, follow through, and accountability.

 

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $64.66/hour - $86.21/hour
