Job Summary

The Decedent Solutions Associate is responsible for processing financial documentation and transactions with a focus on accuracy and compliance. This role involves responding to email inquiries, assisting with information requests, and performing standard customer service activities. The associate will maintain files and records, organize daily work schedules, and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory codes. Additionally, the role requires developing procedural and technical skills through training and coaching, interpreting rules and regulations, and maintaining knowledge of industry standards. The associate will also communicate and resolve issues with internal departments while providing guidance to branch personnel on client requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes financial documentation and transactions with accuracy and compliance.
  • Performs occasional outbound calls to support operational needs.
  • Answers and responds to email inquiries.
  • Assists with requests for information, referring complex matters to colleagues.
  • Handles simple customer inquiries and carries out standard customer service activities.
  • Maintains files and records.
  • Organizes daily work schedules in line with changing priorities.
  • Follows mandatory procedures to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops and maintains procedural and technical skills through training and coaching.
  • Processes forms, basic distributions, and internal transfers.
  • Interprets rules and regulations using Decedent Solutions knowledge.
  • Reviews client requests for corrections and provides guidance to branch personnel.
  • Maintains knowledge of rules and regulations through continuous training and resources.
  • Communicates, researches, and resolves issues with internal departments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook for creating and updating documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in financial services or a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field with some professional experience preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail (minimum 5500 KPH with 85% accuracy required).
  • Professional demeanor and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to explain complex regulations.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge in a changing regulatory environment.
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software packages.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize activities to meet business objectives.
  • Strong customer service skills to connect with customers and meet high standards.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously using dual monitors.
  • Proven reliability with minimal attendance or tardiness issues.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma and 1 year of banking experience required.
