Job Summary
Raymond James is seeking a Senior Immigration Specialist to support a high-volume, high-visibility immigration portfolio within a small, expert team. This role drives governance, oversight of legal documentation, and an exceptional experience for candidates and associates navigating U.S. immigration processes.
Candidates local to Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL will be considered for this hybrid schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between outside counsel, HR, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, candidates, and associates to ensure a seamless, well-governed immigration experience.
- Lead the end-to-end coordination and quality control of immigration petitions, including H, L, TN, and employment-based immigrant filings; oversee accuracy and compliance of all legal documents.
- Manage PERM processing with full ownership of timelines, labor market test governance, recruitment compliance, documentation management, and audit readiness.
- Prepare and coordinate responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) for H‑1B, H‑4, H‑4 EAD, L‑1, and PERM cases in partnership with outside counsel.
- Maintain governance and organization of all immigration compliance records, including Public Access Files, PERM Audit Files, case documentation, and data integrity across internal systems.
- Support visa and work‑authorization needs for domestic and international transfers, ensuring consistent communication and a positive associate experience.
- Oversee I-9 reverification processes for foreign national employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Update and manage internal databases for global immigration; produce dashboards and executive-level reporting with precision and clarity.
- Monitor changes in immigration law, policy, and regulatory guidance; proactively advise HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on impacts.
- Provide frequent status updates and high-touch communication to candidates and associates, improving transparency and end-user experience.
- Prepare employment letters and documentation for visa stamping and consular processing.
- Act as the point of contact for DHS H‑1B audits and DOL PERM audits; ensure the organization maintains audit-ready governance practices.
- Continuously assess and enhance immigration governance procedures, compliance controls, and service delivery models.
- Develop and deliver training and education programs on U.S. immigration topics for hiring managers, HR, and internal stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in U.S. corporate immigration, including senior-level responsibility for complex cases
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end Labor Market Tests (LMT) and PERM governance
- Advanced knowledge of immigration categories, including F-1, H-1 B, H-4, L-1, TN, PERM, and employment-based green card processes
- Proven experience collaborating with external immigration counsel and reviewing legal documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Strong track record managing I-9 reverifications and compliance workflows
- Exceptional communication, follow-up, and stakeholder‑management skills; commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate/associate experience
- High proficiency in Excel and strong document‑management capabilities
- Workday experience required (2 years minimum)
- Minimum of Associate's Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Must have own printer/scanner for remote days
- Must have hands on day-to-day management experience of new hires with visas/sponsorship through the green card process
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $34.50/hour - $46.00/hour
